Default body shape around tailpipe

Hey,

This may sound like a silly question, but do any of the early model Corvair's have a "local" indent directly above the tailpipe? I'm restoring a '64 Monza convertible, and there is a specific indention above the tailpipe that is shaped very much like the tailpipe itself. It appears as though it could have been made like this, but my guess is that it is a just a dent that was made when the tailpipe was pushed up into the body. The one other Corvair I have access to does not have this (the body is perfectly straight and smooth in the immediate area around the pipe), but it is a '62 model, so I thought maybe it was something that was added in later years.

Thanks in advance for the help, and happy thanksgiving!

- Brad
