I'm having trouble finding part numbers for the NOS Gasoline Heaters that

were available as accessories for the 1960-63 cars and 1961-65 F.C



Perhaps someone out there can enlighten me on the various GM parts numbers

I've found when trying to look up this accessory in parts books and accessory

manuals. The manuals I have are;

1. 1960 Parts and Accessories Catalog (red cover, Apr. 1960)

2. 1960-61 Parts and Accessories Catalog (yellow cover, Oct. 1960)

3. 1960-69 Parts and Accessories Catalog (gold cover, Oct. 1970)

4. 1960-69 Chassis and Bodt Parts Catalog (white/red cover, Nov. 1976)

5. 1962 Accessories Installation Manual (white cover)



I currently have a NOS gas heater in the original box (very large and had tin

banding straps at one time).

Labeled;

Group 9.169

P.N. 988064

It is for a car (not FC) and I have found no listing of either the group

number or the part number in any of the parts books.



All gasoline heaters seem to be listed in Group 8.845



The gas heater listed in the ad is;

P.N. 965061

I have not found this number either.



The numbers I have come up with are;

P.N. 988381 1960 All exc. F.C. (1960 red catalog)

P.N. 985060 1961 All exc. F.C. (1960-61 yellow catalog)

P.N. 988367 1961 F.C. (1960-61 yellow catalog)

P.N. 3881556 1963-65 F.C. (1960-69 gold catalog, Oct. '70)

So you can see, I'm kind of stumped on this one.
