I have never used teflon tape on any flare fitting, I even make my own

lines and never have any leaks. The one place I use it is the nuts on

the carbs, but after reading these posts, that's fixin to stop. My

brother works on aircraft and has given me the warning. He says if you

have to use it never go over one turn. I guess I have been lucky up

until now! Yes, they use some type of sealer exclusively. (he just

worked on George Zimmer's jet of the Men's Warehouse, and Jerry Jones of

Dallas Cowboys)
