Right on! If gas is going to leak by the flare it's likely to leak out
between the fitting and the line, not through the threads. While cranking
hard on the fitting will usually allow the flare to seat well ( a necessity
on new lines ) I've always wondered if the Tech Tip about using a small ''O''
ring around the seat works. Being concerned about what gas does to certain
rubber I've been sceptical. Has anyone tried this?
