You DO have the bumper right side up, right?



My '65 is away from premises at the moment, so I can't look. As I

recall, there is a seam, two or three layers of sheet metal come

together and form a ridge which points downward. Attach the air dam

just in front of this with large (hex head) sheetmetal screws. Yes,

you will have to drill your new paint job, so you may want to use a

punch and do your best to keep the drill bit from walking out of the

hole. Maybe a pilot hole to start with? My air dam is the NOS

(plastic?) type. Yours may be different, but I would think that the

attaching method would be the same.
