You may have the distributor shaft misaligned by one tooth. I've run
into this before with points and electronic ignition. I find it works best
with the engine TDC number one firing the rotor should point directly
to the rear of the engine compartment. Then reset your timing advance.

the dist. to whatever specs you want. What if you were off 180*? just move
the plug wires to where #1 is on compression and timming mark on 0, and where
the rotor points is where #1 plug wire starts, anyway the dist. doesn't care
where you point the rotor it will still fire correctly internally with points.
The major problem with the light diode system is they're internal timing is
off.
