<VV> Steering Wheel Resto
Hi all,
I'm currently contemplating the next task in the
restoration of my wife's 64 Spyder... the steering
wheel. My questions are, has anyone had any
experience (good or bad) with the steering wheel
restoration kit that the Eastwood company sells?
Also, when it comes time for painting the wheel, what
type of paint/combo will provide the best durability
Thanks in advance,
Glenn
If you are not happy with the restoration, an option is to install a
leather wrap. After failing to find one that fits in my local shops, I
ordered a Wheelskins brand cover from the JC Whitney catalog. It was a
perfect fit, and was an easy install for a novice. I would recommend the
highest quality one-piece version.
